Llegó al lugar número 1 de las listas de popularidad Billboard Hot 100. Fue escrita por Kerry Livgren, y fue uno de las primeras piezas acústicas de la banda; su melodía suave y su letra melancólica difiere ostensiblemente de otros éxitos de la banda, como "Carry On Wayward Son" y "The Wall". El interludio de la canción contiene una melodía distintiva interpretada por Robby Steinhardt, doblando sus solos de violín, viola y violonchelo, que fueron escritos a su vez por Livgren.
